Hey James:

Calvin is out today, but he will update you tomorrow with the detail on your orders.

However, I just want to inform everyone that we already received the detail on our next container. Majority (90%) of the orders for this group buy are finished and estimate to arrive in USA by 3rd week / 4th week of Sept.

Also, we did bring in extra front strut tower brace with this shipment for additional orders if needed.

Thanks again !

Mark.

Hey Elguapo-My comment on 6/26-Regarding the back order braces is there any more feed back on the lead time for this product? Exactly which ones are back ordered? If we get GTSPEC to place the order august 1st AND the factory can be pushed on production timing in Taiwan (assuming we meet their MOQ) they will produce in say 20-25 days with 5 days to port, 20 days on a fast boat, 10 days to clear, 10 days to process and ship. Realistically we could be looking at a best delivery time of 90+ days out from today. Which makes it exactly the end of September. Hmmmm....Maybe I have worked with importing before...Is GT is saying our order will be 90% complete?-I ordered one of everything, will one or more of my braces not make the shipment?

Logan... I hope this answers your questions

1. All the braces with the exception of Front lower engine braces are done (GTS-SUS-1324).

2. All the finished braces already went on the container and has an estimate arrival time between 3rd week and 4th of September.

3. The front engine brace which was not on the ocean shipment will be air over from Taiwan and we should have the delivery time for that around end of Sept. (Same time as the ocean shipment)

4. We should be right on time to deliver this group buy and start shipping out products via UPS within days of shipment arrival.

Any other questions or comments.. please feel free to ask guys.

Excellent-Thanks Elguapo, clarifyling what the 10% was/is and when it will be here helps a lot! Christmas is a long ways off, this is all I have to look forward to right now......well not ALL but its pretty fricking cool.....

recieved my strut brace yesterday, looks great, unfortunitly, I gota decide if I want to mod my engine cover to install it. (FX45) I should have asked more questions to know if there would be a fitment issue. No biggie, I'll either mod to fit or sell it.

Same deal for me, I also did not check fitment on the STB and ASSumed it would be okay. Anyone have this experience and either remove the cover or cut it up?

I've only seen the cover removed for the 06+ 45's. No one has posted a modded engine cover yet. Do it!

So we can remove the cover, Cut it up, OR Use the mounting plate as a pattern and cut a 3/4" spacer out of aluminum? Does the spacer sound like it would make for a stable platform or are there side to side forces to contend with that would create issues with longer bolts?

I would be careful spacing the STB too high, 3/4" sounds like a lot of thread from the strut studs to be spacing. Not even sure there is more then a 1" of stud. Bottom of the hood is also a factor, you will end up in contact with the hood.

yeah, the bar can stand to be quite a bit higher in the center, but over the struts themselves there is very little room, spacing probably won't work...

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen. Not enough space under the hood points plus I'm not an engineer but the length of the bolts and the the side the side stress seemed like it might be cause for concern. Sounds like its cover off OR cutting into it if I want to keep the GT-Spec STB.
