The grill painting - dark chrome. Possible?

I wonder if its possible to paint front grill to achieve a factory sport look - dark chrome.
I've got sport one but there are many chips on. Its not looking good :/

I've heard suggestion - paint your grill black but I would prefer save a clean factory look.

Nope. You can't achieve a chrome look with a paint. A member over here tried to do that on his wheels and the paint started to chip out after a few days.. Search for infx35's posts and you'll find more info on it.

yes, you can either paint it with a metallic-chrome like paint, or just get is re-dipped in chrome... the dark chrome part of it is a treatment to regular chrome, thats why when a chip is there regular chrome shows through the dark chrome.
