The Beer Man is Here

Happy Friday Ladies and Gentlemen!

Bought my 1st Infiniti in January of this year. Incredible vehicle. I'm a HP junkie so more is alway better, but I'm not unhappy. I've had some high HP vehicles in my past and have turned a few wrenches to boot (I have some stitch scars to prove that) so I know my way around a car fairly well. I also detail in the spring/summer out of my garage. It helps pay for my other hobbies- Guitars and Beer. Doesn't get much better than that. :thrasher::beer:

There will be no modding of this one. I promised the wife nothing this time but I get other things in return . So most you'll see is intake and appearance stuff.

If there are any Marines in here "SEMPER FI".

Welcome to the scene man! Glad to have you join up with the family but no mods?

Riiiiiiiggght. At least, none that we'll tell your wife about! Personally I went for a full custom turbo setup, but that was AFTER owning my FX for 6 years. Same drivetrain as the 350Z and G35 so if they can do it, so can we.

The only NA power adders worth buying for the FX are an intake, plenum spacer, exhaust and dyno tune (Uprev Osiris). Those four items together could run you between $1500 and $2500 and will give you 20-30whp bump. Spend enough time on this forum and you'll wonder why you made that deal with your wife, lol.

Welcome again!

Yeah, you don't need to mod. Bolt ons don't count the because you'll just put it all back if need be. So there's your intake and plenum. Exhaust is just a slip on so no big deal. Welding is better and its just a pipe so no big deal, might as well. Wheels are fun and hardly a mod anyways. You probably want to protect your family, so a brake and suspension upgrade is in their best interest. You can then lower it for better aerodynamics and mpg - you know, reduce your carbon footprint.
So, no mods really. It's not like you'll tub it or anything!

We've got mind readers on the board.:wink (2): Plus an ECU tune wouldn't hurt. I've got some Enkei's I'm thinking of throwing on if I don't get them sold. They're only 18"s but I think they would look good on the FX.

Welcome to iS. Nothing wrong with being stock, my fx is stock'ish too :smile (2):

I just hope there are no moded FXs around you! One look as it passes you and you'll be bit! HAHA. Just do the mods at night while the wife is sleeping, she might not notice them! :smile (2):

welcome to the family bro!!! congrats on your new FX!! enjoy it and the site.. i doubt you cant keep the promise of not modding the FX lol,, lets see how long that last!! not a marine(might as well be) but a (FMF) Corpman aka Doc!! Semper FI!!!! Hooraah!

Welcome to :iS: all things FX:tup::tup:
