TEST PIPES ????? need some advices

You can definitely use test pipes - sound will be much louder.

If you keep the O2 sensors, your Service Engine Soon (SES) light will come on. Does not hurt your car in any way, but will NOT pass emissions and inspection in Texas.

There are spacers that can be used or sometimes the test pipes themselves use spacers for the O2 sensors that can fix this problem but no guarantee.
 
I got Berks test pipes on mine sound is loud but I like it u will pass emissions with them on and no service engine light Depending on wat u get go with berks
 
DON"T DO IT. it sounds raspy, which is bad already, then the CEL issue, can be fixed, also your exhaust gas will smell bad. not enough gains to bother with this mod. get HFC's.
 
I just received a set INVIDIA from chris today so if worth it I can order those Test pipes and install them at the same time.
( Jumbo I know that it will not pass Inspection when the time comes, well back and forth to make it pass I guess. )
I am listening to everyone before dicided to pull the trigger or not....................

That will work!!!

Hard to say exactly what it will sound like with the combination of OEM headers, Test pipes and Invidia exhaust. Guess you can try it out and if you do not like it, switch to HFCs and see how that sounds?

then definitely don't get the test pipes. get some quality HFC's so you will have less risk of CEL issues. your gains are minimal, and that's only after a proper tune. get some spacers for your engine instead.

i can vouch on mike's car. Was trailing him 5 car lengths behind with congestion moving around 60 and i could hear him accelerating! :wink:
