Temperature Sensor replacement

2004 Infiniti FX35 AWD
Has anyone replaced their coolant temperature sensor? I think I see where it is but looks hard to reach. Would be great if someone had some experience they could share.
 
Yeah, I saw that video too but unfortunately that's for a G35, not an FX35 and it's different inside. The FX35 is harder to reach
 
No, it should be the same. Here's mine. Maybe a little more difficult because the FX is higher off the ground. You can do it Mike!

You've got a 1st gen FX? 04? AWD? MIne's an 03 AWD. It's the same. Mine looks a little different because things I did in the engine bay but it's all the same, unless your FX is a Subaru with FX badging.
 
When do you know if has to be replaced? I wonder if that’s the issue with my fx bc sometimes when I’m turning the temp up the temp jumps up and down on the screen.
