Today i just did a coolant change on 2010 FX 35 RWD and accidentally put the NISSAN green coolant so i had to flush that out and put the NISSAN blue coolant. now when i drive the car the temp needle goes up and down feels like the car will overheat. Do i have air bubbles in the coolant? i checked the coolant level and its at max.

Need help quick cant drive the car LOL

Air is in the coolant system. You have to burp the system.

Open the bleeder valve screw a little and let the air bubbles out then close it off. Do it only when the car is shut off. Also when the car is on you need to get the coolant to cycle through the heater core. Turn the heat on 90 on full blast and rev the car to 3000 rpm for 10 seconds. Repeat the process as necessary.

And hopefully you mixed it with distilled water only.

And another thing dont rely on the coolant level in the overflow tank. You should be adding fluid through the radiator filler neck.

Also when you were filling the fluid you must open the bleeder valve screw so trapped air can get out as your pouring the fluid in. Once the coolant starts spilling out of the bleeder valve you close it up. You also shouldnt be pouring coolant in fast as that can keep air bubblesfrom escaping.
