Please take the time to introduce yourself and tell us a little bit of how you found this site in this section. No body here bites and its a good way of letting everyone know who you are. Even if you don't own an M, feel free to introduce yourself.

what's up everyone? looking forward to sharing ideas on this site... we are all car enthusiasts! my favorite = Nissans

Welcome to iSM! Thanks for joining our somewhat new forum, hope to see more info on your M....

'Sup peoples! Name's Rich, have an '07 M35 as my daily. Live in SoCal (818). I'll eventually do some mods to it which is why I'm here... Input! Always been a Nissan fanatic. My other baby is a '90 240SX Fastback (180SX in Japan). Look forward to getting to know everyone on here!

Hey everyone, Just bought an 08 M35 Sport about a month ago. Finally a car that fits me (I'm 6'5") and with room to spare behind me. I have a few mods planned that I already ordered. I will try to do a good job documenting the mod with pics and sound/video clips. My brother came by and drove mine... and bought one 2 weeks later. He got a 2010 M35 Sport. He's 6'6" and said its the first car he's ever owned where his head doesn't hit the roof of the car.
Mods to come:
- Motordyne 5/16" plenum spacer
- Tanabe Medallion Exhaust
- 7 windows to be tinted
- closed cell foam to abate road noise
- Undecided on LED reverse lights. They look sweet though
- Undecided on dynamat for the rear deck to stop the tiny rattle when the bass drops (maybe its the baby seat rattling. Need to confirm)

Check my garage soon. I'll upload pics as I go. Thx

Welcome to the site.. I just had 7 windows tinted 25% all around, cost was around $280. The M does have a good amount of available space, it's a pretty big car...which I like.

FYI: Tanabe is very subdued (at least compared to my FX35 stock exhaust). Sound is noticeable around 2.5k RPM. Otherwise, it's a pretty quiet exhaust (advertised as nder 93dB). Plus, they are only mufflers... there are no Y and mid-pipes for this system.

If you want to sound Fast and the Furious, you need to get something else. Then again, you are getting a plenum spacer so that'll increase the volume of your overall exhaust and engine noise.

Subdued, no drone, and deeper were the words I needed to hear before buying. If the words ricey, aggressive, loud were used to describe it, I wouldn't have purchased. I'm all about sound, but to me sound does not equal volume. I came from a V8, so I wanted a deep, rich sound.

The plenum spacer is going to be fun. Who knew a thin piece of cast metal would help produce so much more power? :-)

There will not be a noticeable gain from plenum... don't be surprised.

Going back to the Tanabe, I don't think you hear much until you hit 2k to 2.8k rpm. Sound cuts off at 3k and above from what I've experienced. I hardly drive the M35 so maybe it is just my experience with the exhaust. The good news is there is zero drone!
