I just can't wrap my head around the idea that Jeep has, in the span of 2 years, made the transition from "lowest initial quality" and "least reliable brand" (2011), to anything worth a second glance. I also saw their 2011 models in person at the Portland auto show and they were downright disgusting. ALL of them. They didn't even compare to the other domestics, let alone anything foreign. And to compare them to a real luxury brand? Laughable. We'll see how these new models hold up to the real world...
 
Yeah, "lipstick on a pig" comes to mind. I like the look and obviously there's a ton of power, but it's still a Chrysler. If they can keep it up and have a proven track record of quality, then we can talk.
 
I've test driven a WK1 SRT8 and it's not that bad. The interior quality is a notch below my 1st gen FX but nothing horrible. The power is pretty amazing and a few mods will get you far.
 
Okay...it's almost the end of april 1st....I am not selling, although the 2012 Jeep srt8 was the car I was going to get, which is why I know so much about it, but last minute switched to a 2009 FX50S instead.

I bet Kim that the first post mentions it's april fools, but she was convinced you guys wouldn't notice because of my convincing writeup, but I told her these guys are no joke...they are smarter than lots of people I know....nothing gets by them, just watch, they'll know right away. And you guys did, but had to try to play it again, yet smashed again! I tried! It was fun though seeing some of the reactions....still my favorite is Wayne's "pulling our pi$$ers" comment...we couldn't stop laughing.
 
The second I read the post, I knew he's not switching just by knowing how much he cares for his FX50S.
 
Plus Jonas... you just barely became a mod... how you going to leave us after becoming such an important figure on the best website?

I still think Ege I believe it was had the best April Fools joke. I think some people even PayPal'd him money for his "part-out". :top:
 
I totally fell for it, and that's probably because I also considered the same car... or maybe I just suck at April Fools Day. I also fell for one from my sister that my mom choked on her pizza at BJs and somebody had to run over and help her.
