Switching to a Jeep SRT8

So I haven't mentioned this to many members yet, but I've been looking at other cars the last few weeks, primarily the new Jeep SRT8. The FX50 is just too slow for me (I miss the mustang cobra speed), I miss the torque pushing the person back into their seats, the trans is too wishy washy and lagging, and the lack of awesome FX 2nd gen mods (especially the camber issues) is solidifying the need for a switch. The new jeep interiors are AMAZING, really. Been talking to the dealer now for 2 weeks and probably going to get it next weekend, a black one. I'll probably be putting up mine for sale very soon.

I'm sure I'll be on the forum still here and there, but much less since I'll be on there, primarily cherokeesrt8.com since I've been a member there for awhile now already. I'll definitely be missing you guys, so I'm sure I'll be around every now and then.

Jonas

PS: I hope I can still make some of the handy Andy meets even though I'll be an outkast!

LOL, wut. Pretty convincing at first, you had all the "right" reasons to make it convincing. But then you said the interior is AMAZING and I was like hmmmmm. They are nice interiors, but not amazing, lol. Nice job! :ninja:

This will convince you...:ninja:

^ And that's with a 2006 SRT8. I'm getting the 2012, which has a 6.4L Hemi V8 AWD doing 465hp and 465 torque. The 2006 was with a 6.1L 420hp 5 speed trans, so you can imagine how much faster it is than even the pictures above!

The FX paddle shifters are slow lagging. The SRT8 paddle shifters in the 2012 are FAST. And you can set the paddle shifters to be for road or track.

Andrew, you were probably in the 2010 and earlier models. 2012 Jeep srt8 interiors are hands down different now. They are finally using very high quality leathers and everything now. They finally have put in the head turning SRT performance with luxury and refinement with innovative advanced technologies. I mean come on, the 2012 srt8 has a heated steering wheel and the FX doesn't! Which is more luxury? lol 19 speaker harmon kardon almost 1000 watts, new active valve exhaust system allows standard Fuel Saver Technology, 2012 now has new adaptive damping suspension managed by new Selec-Track system. We don't even have a blind monitoring system and this has one. Has adaptive cruise control standard, front collision warning standard, remote start standard, seat belt auto tentioners which is one of my favorite features that actually only comes with the FX tech package. So much more I'm not even mentioning.

No, I was referring to the latest 2012 interior. I've seen it and they are very nice and much better materials and design, but not amazing. Infiniti does have a blind spot monitoring system, but not available in the FX just yet. :tongue (2):

I've seen the new SRT-8's walking to work, I almost ran into a street light. It's amazing looking...

Jonas, I do not believe you. I think you are pulling our pi$$ers. It's a good one though, you have too much on your plate right now to make the switch, and I KNOW you still have a love affair with that white beastie of yours.

I can see you doing that in the future,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,maybe, but not right nowI

Was browsing more Jeep SRT8 Videos when I stumbled upon this monster.

Forget the jeep, get a W12 Touareg :nerd (2):

Nice try Jonas. It's either SRT8 or house painting, and we know who's making that decision. :)

Don't Moderators have to sign a blood pact keeping their FX for life and leave copies of their house keys with each other?
