Switched from FX50s to QX70s 3.7 - Looking at exhausts

Hey everyone, I just traded in my 2011 FX50s (with a borla installed) for a 2016 QX70s. I loved the Borla on the FX50s and I want to get a new exhaust for the QX70s. I have been looking at the Ark Exhausts and love them, but I wanted to get an yall's opinion on something. GTHAUS makes a meisterschaft exhaust for the Q50 and was wondering what kind of modification would be required to fit that exhaust to the QX70? I know that the exhausts aren't identical, but I was wondering if anyone had some knowledge on the differences between the Q50 and QX70 in regards to a cat-back system. Thanks!

Looking at the diagram for both, it seems that it is very close to the same exhaust, like most exhausts for the G platforms vs. the FX.

the q50 3.7L and the G37 coupe both have the same muffler part # 20100, and the mid pipe both # 20300.

Safe to say that you'd be fine getting a Q50 exhaust and getting it to fit the FX much like the G exhausts do, with minor adjustments needed. (extend the tips, adjust hangers)

My buddy had the Meistershaft exhaust on his G37 Coupe back in the day.... great manufacturing, welding, etc.... and it sounded like a race car.

That being said they are expensive and you can get a similar result with some simple custom-fab work. Up to you.

jbaker, thanks for the info! I'm going to try and find a shop that will do the fab work for me!

Dpeters, I loved the 5.0, believe me! I saw the sport edition on the lot and got such a great trade-in, I couldn't resist! Plus, it was time for an upgrade.

PEEJ, I miss the 5.0 but 3.7 packs some power! Not as much as the 5.0, but still has a kick! I do miss the 5.0 power though :/

I don't need the power or sound in this car (have an M3 for that), but I was thinking about trying out a resonated test pipe or HFC. I think the Motordyne ART pipe or the Fast Intentions resonated HFC would be good. Free up some power (more than a muffler could), add a little rumble, keep the overall volume manageable with the stock muffler. I was unable to confirm fitment, but it'd be worth a gander.
