Swapping to 06+ cluster problem...

So I have an 06+ cluster (08, I think) that I meant to put in. So today I finally decided to do it. Took forever to unhook old one, but finally did it. I got the power source as pictured below:

but when i turn the key on, I only see 'Brake', 'Low Fuel' and 'Seatbelt' signs. No lights, RPMS, Fuel and Temprature are all dead. Is this cluster faulty?

The cluster is probably defective. Had the same problem before

But to my recollection, Turbocad6 tapped it into a different source. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Most like a bad cluster. Once there is 12 volt to pin 4. It will light up. As where to get the 12 volt, as long add it reads 12 volt when the car is running and 0 volt when the car is off, you"re good to go.

I dug out my volt meter, I will see if I get any voltage to that pin

Nice effort. I totally appreciate the "where with all" it takes to get all up into the electronics. I spent three hours wrapping my headers, verifying the cats were unobstructed, reset my CEL codes, wiring, ehhhh for all the times I've gone there it's just not my dealeo. My stereo plan is still hanging out there, I need to find a solid shop to get my set up done.

Yes it definitely takes guts

After I fried my front driver seat controller, flames and all...., I'm much more appreciative of the risk involved in working with the electronics in our vehicles!

I was pissed, because one of the screws was PITA to get out... and then disassemble the cluster.... oh well, I acquired some knowledge....

Yeah, the inner one on the left is a pain to get at. I use a flex head ratchet wrench for it.

Did you buy it on eBay by any chance? I had the same exact problem with 06 cluster that I bought on eBay, returned it back.

Tech = ICC and LDW, should be fine with your 03 tech.
