hi i hav some question about lms s/c
i have 2005 FX35 and trying put used s/c, but i hav no information about s/c, my budget is $3500 include install.
wat i wanted is lms, i dont really wanted the stiilen or vortech on my car.cuz I dont have enought money and i just want my car at 300whp(like 2008 G35 or 2009 FX35). i dont wanted to damage my car by putting too much hp into it.

I think you are confusing HP and RWHP. The newer G/FX with the HR motor make around 300 HP, but not RWHP. They only make 20 more HP than our FX's with the DE motor. You can get up to that with simple bolt ons. I believe the HR runs in the 250's for RWHP. 300 RWHP is adding around 80 over stock, so there shouldn't be any problems. I believe the HKS is known for lower HP numbers with low risk, so it might be a good option for you, and you didn't mention it.

I guess you are going to or bought one of the only 2 FX35 LMS superchargers out there. If you are in LA I suggest taking it to Steve at LMS and have him do the install since they built it and can tell you all the things you need.
 
SCH4400 sent me a pm -

He talked to Steve from LMS and they wont touch the UTEC.
So He called TS, and wants to know if TS can install the kit and get the UTEC working.

My guess is no. But I'll post it here so he can get his answer as I know nothing about Utec and F/I
 
Technosquare won't tune a utec. They can flash and tune off the stock ecu. Installation of the LMS kit is not an issue, I would go with a different blower unless LMS is using something that is still in use? I thought the powerdynes were gone but now supported by another manufacturer.
 
if TS installs the LMS I don't think he would need the UTEC, they could just flash his ecu and that would be better than just running off the J&S alone. Would also need to install the LMS fuel controller though.
either way, expect to pay more than $3500 cause custom tunes are not going to be cheap if they know what they are doing

charger plus a tune alone is going to be $3400-$3500 then add install to that and you will probably be over $4000

You can install the LMS kit as is and steve can do it but then that motor will depend entirely on the knock sensor functioning properly. If it goes out, chances are so will your motor. Same goes for the inline aux. fuel pump, if that goes out so may the motor if under boost.

If you really want to be safe it's gonna cost more

928motorsports has the powerdynes and everything you would need to rebuild them.
They even have the conversion to the chain instead of belt driven. The chain driven is supposed to be good for up to 18 psi i believe
 
Does any one know which shop tune with utec?
a little google-ing goes a long way
