Struts and shocks

Have 115K on my 09. Mavis Tire says my Michelin’s, 26k miles, are cupping because I need struts and shocks replaced. Quoted $350 for shocks and said he could not find front struts...should go to dealer. Question? All highway miles....struts and shocks at 115k? Always serviced by the dealer and they have not even mentioned it. Enough time/mileage need this? Comments will be appreciated.

I have a 2014 and my steering rack is going bad so I need to replace that. I have less than 58k miles on the car

I agree you shouldn't need that kind of maintainable but you never know. It sucks

Wow, sorry to hear about the steering rack. Makes my problem look minor. Whats up with the rack? Leaking, steering issues?

Check out the link. I did manage to find a remanufactured steering rack for $500, labor is close to $400 so less than $1k to replace.

Makes me wonder about the long term reliability of this thing

I know things are bound to happen but not on low mile cars!

Oh, I see your point. Mine failed at 50K . . but I track & canyon it, so shits gonna break. Wider tires would also cause more stress
