Strut Bar installation

So this is how i installed my strut bar for my fx. Its pretty simple just take your time and do this at your own risk i aint responsible for anything that may go wrong

If you are hand it should go smoothly

First off buy a strut bar :tongue (2):

i got mine from gtspec


next pop ur hood n examine the location of where the anchor points go to



you can start either side BUT THIS IS IMPORTANT NO NEED TO LIFT YOUR FX TO DO THIS WITH IT THE FX ON FLAT GROUND IS OK AGAIN NO LIFTING NEEDED....
I started the right side


Unbolt the 3 bolt holding the shock in place once all 3 unbolted remove the struct bracket




now put the strut bar bracket on the screws



after checking fitment bolt it down and torque it with specs in manuel

you do the same to the other side as well bolt it down and torque it make sure not to tight or ull pull the strut and the is a big UH OH

once the brackets are in place put the bar and crew in the brackets i tighten it by hand just a little more then snug

afterwards enjoy looking at you engine bay with the bar :top::top:

Did you feel a great difference driving with and without the strut bar?

Stuuuuuupid stupid question.. but what exactly does a strut bar do..?

It stiffens up the handling a bit,, less roll in the turns and help with handling during hard braking. And it makes your engine (and mine) just that much more of a pain in the arse to work on.

Well got my GTSpec strut bar and looks good, but for all it gives better more secure feeling while turning corners.More stability before had the feeling the car would fly out off the corner especially with more speed.
