Strange sound coming from under the passenger seat

Hello guys,


when I was driving on the highway today (with pouring rain)…there were a very loud sound coming from under the passenger seat and the passenger said that the passenger side is shaking really bad (especially by the passenger floor)


also when that happened…my car was at about 2000 rpm and it couldn't go up any higher than 3000 rpm. (the engine light was not on)


that happened twice when I was on the highway and it lasted about 30 seconds to 1 min. and then its back to normal again…




Do you guys know what the problem could be?

What kind of sound can you describe it. I had a similar issue. It turn out to be my cats were coming apart. Get it diagnosed to be safe.
 
It sounded like the the exhaust were way louder than normal and i am pretty sure the sound was coming from the right side of my car.

I just had my Invidia put on about 2 months ago...
 
Maybe O2 sensor was installed incorrectly? Or the water is causing a short if it happened in the rain. Could cause the limp mode and misfires which would cause the noise.
