Stock vs. Invidia vs. ARK exhaust

Still can't decide. Anyone have a dyno chart of them?

Like you, I'm evaluating both exhausts right now. I haven't seen much in terms of dynos but generally speaking most exhausts are going to yield similar gains (given this is your only mod)- not really a differentiating point IMO. If you plan on adding FI, then I would go for the one with the largest diameter piping.

Other than that, it really boils down to how you think it sounds. I'm leaning toward the ARK because it has a unique sound and it's marketed to have minimal drone.

also in the market.....i'm more interested in the drone factor, then hp, then sound, etc. i havent seen much feed back on drone.

Which system has Less drone? and at what rpm range? thanks!

They both drone, I heard both in person before I bought the Ark and the Invidia drones a lot compared to the Ark.

Has anyone found that as the Invidia gets on in years,, it gets louder? I bought HFCs from someone here and I think I went too far. It's throaty as all get out but it's slightly obnoxious. Rasp upon take-off at times,, drone,, and In the low 2k's it's a little much,, I go up a long gradual hill in a nice neighborhood to get home and I'm a menace!

I'm having it toned down a bit.

Go with the ARK! I love my invidia but if I did it over again I would get an ARK. I don't find my Invidia over the top at all and feel it has kind of gotten quieter since I first got it? Could be that I am more used to it now though. But I STILL love how it sounds when I drive!

Mine has def gotten louder in the past years. I think im going to have to put resonators in and a resonated x pipe to calm down the noise.

So, I just picked up my whip. Brought to a guy who is well known for custom exhausts. He was able to retro-fit a set of resonators from an '07 G37 (that he just happened to have laying around from a previous job last week) and also changed the geometry of the pipe going over the rear sway bar because it was hitting.

Man what a difference. It's waaaay less boomy and retained the throatyness. I may be trend-setting over here, who knows!

If I had to base my opinion on the video, I would say ARK.
However, since I owned an Invida on my 2011 FX35, I would say that after a break in period of a couple hundred kms, Invida is just as good as ARK (considering $$).

ARK owner checking in. I love mine! Can I empirically state that it performs better than Invidia? Nope. I chose ARK because it appealed to me across a range of considerations - aesthetics included. It sounds AND looks the part.

If you upgrade your exhaust, expect it to get significantly louder inside the vehicle. There is no escaping a small degree of drone. If you're considering this, you should also go a step further and consider doing some rear end soundproofing to keep everything tolerable.

The first drive impression with Invidia is it drones at 2.1k rpm quite a bit. Other than that particular rpm(higher or lower), I barely hear anything.
It definitely sounds a lot better over all, but I'll give it some more time and see. Hopefully it gets better later on before wife loses her patient.

Anybody know how to silence the Invidia exhaust. I forget how my old 08 fx35 used to sound but now that I swapped my muffler I think the Invidia is pretty loud.

You can weld Car Chemistry 3-disc inserts into the tailpipes, that will cut down the overall volume. I did that on mine because once I added HFC's it introduced a ton of drone and trumpeting with the Invidia.

I was debating between the two but I heard both drone from 1.5k-2.5k. I've had Ark on my g37 and never had that issue though.
