Stock Sirius Antenna

I got my fx used. I did not know untill 3 months in that I had a stock sirius radio but had not an antenna hooked up. I dont know where the antenna hooked up to, so i bought a $35 sirius magnetic antenna and put it on the roof. It is nice but am wondering what the stock sirius antenna looks like. Is it hooked up to the normal antenna or is it the same as the magnetic one i bought at the store.?

I have an 05 and I did the stealth install on mine.
The antenna is hidden underneath the hatch part, where the hinges are at on the top as I didnt want the "pimple" looking thing on my roof. I'll try to take some pics for you later tonight if time permits.

Sirius antenna

Keep in mind that the sirius antenna needs to be in direct view of the sky. Fiberglass, glass, leather etc will not effect reception, but metal will.:winky:

KEEP IN MIND THAT THE SIRIUS ANTENNA NEEDS TO BE IN DIRECT VIEW OF THE SKY. FIBERGLASS, GLASS, LEATHER ETC WILL NOT EFFECT RECEPTION, BUT METAL WILL.:winky:

The part that you hide it under is the plastic piece on the hatch so it gets signal

Is the stock unit use the same antenna as the aftemarket antenna?

it fits underneath the 3rd brake light so when you close the hatch, its underneath the plastic part of the hatch.

My FX came with XM but I wish it came with Sirius. Can I switch it easily or am I stuck with XM?
