Stock HID Color

Does anyone know the stock color of the HID lowbeams in the kelvin scale? Also, can I just replace the stock HID bulbs with an aftermarket ones? I'm thinking of changing to 6000k.

4300K, and yes you can swap them for 6000K. 5000K would be whiter and will give better lumens, but 6000K is also a good choice with just a slight bit of blue.

I've been look at a number of websites for the D2S 6000k lights. The prices range from $9.00-$159.00, whats the deal? Does anyone have a recommendation of quality D2S lights, and what the difference might be in the lights, accounting for the crazy price range? Thanks

Sorry I don't know the difference between $9 & the ones for $159.

But I ordered a set for my M from here about 1.5yrs ago with no problems yet, both have the same color:

Phillips is the standard that all D2S bulbs are compared to. I am personally running Morimoto bulbs...which are also fantastic.
