Hello all
I have 05 FX35 and have Stillen High Flow Air Intake Kit installed.
I was wondering if anyone knows or has DIY/procedure on how to remove the air filter (cone type) as I need to take the filter out. (such as what do I have to remove or take out in order to take the air filter out)
I will be really appreciated if anyone can describe or provide instruction.
Thanks in advance!

You simply reverse the installation directions to take the filter out for cleaning. There is no better way that I know.

Attached are the installation instructions which you are to reverse for removal. Removing the cone filter is very straight forward. Remove the four screws at the back of the heat shield, as well as the screw on the side of the heat shield. After this you will be able to remove the entire heat shield with the cone filter inside it. Slide the filter out of the heat shield and begin the cleaning process. When complete, reinstall the filter and heat shield by following the attached installation instructions.

it's 4 bolts literally. take the tube off @ the accordian, look at the back of where the cone connets; there are 4 bolts.

^yep

Unscrew the bolt located at the accordian. Then to the right of the box, there should be one more bolt bolted to the fender. This will get the whole "cold air box" out. Then the 4 bolts behind the "cold air box" attaches to your velocity stack (aluminum piece) and the air filter. Once the 4 bolts are out, the filter pops out still attached to the velocity stack. Unscrew the clamp on the filter, and your done.

be careful and do not overspray the filter...just get it red and wait about an hour to let it soak in before reattaching everything.
