Stillen headers for 350z /g35 fit fx??

Yes they should, but install is hard. If you are doing it yourself it will take awhile, or it will probably cost a lot somewhere. Sound/performance is decent.
 
Tchuck installed a set and confirmed it wasn't easy. search header install he has a thread on it (sorry on my phone can't pull it up for you). He does like the power and sound.
 
yea i saw it. is it worth the money tho? seems cheaply priced. really wana slowly work on the exhaust. They should last the lifetime of the car right?
 
They might. Psiclne had his crack at the flange and cause an exhaust leak. He had Strup though, and they replaced them for free, but maybe he had to pay for the install?
 
Mine were ~$550 for ceramic coated and equal length from Stillen, which is three times what the cheapo eBay headers go for and about half of what the super high end stainless units like Nismo or Tomei run. Not gonna lie, they're a bi-atch to install but the results are awesome. The sound is great and the power increase (with a tune) is quite noticeable. If you install them yourself they are totally worth it. I wouldn't do it otherwise because the install $$ would be ridiculous. The Stillen flanges are also thick as a brick and the welds are very well done. I had mine supporting the entire front half of my exhaust (my hfc's omitted the cat-trans mounting location) for a couple months with no cracking whatsoever.

In summary, I'd recommend a good quality set to anyone who is willing to DIY the install, but not for those who would elect to pay an install fee. That is obviously based on my own definition of "value" (same goes for lowering springs), which may vary based on the number of zeroes on your bank statement.

those posted are ss ones or are they coated? you think they are priced well for used? what should i be looking for in terms of conidition?

Its hard to say the material. They don't really look like stainless to me but they certainly don't look like mine either and those are the only options on the Stillen site. I would definitely ask the seller if you can. The price is excellent assuming they are usable (perfectly intact and structurally sound). In terms of condition you should be looking for cracking. Any cracking anywhere on the tubes, especially around the flanges and the collectors would be a deal breaker for me. Some things can definitely be fixed but the cause is either excessive stress or heat. The fact that they've been subjected to either once means that they could be weak elsewhere... Have the seller take detailed pictures of every weld or inspect them in person.

I bought mine used from a G35/350Z forum, Strups. One of them eventually cracked and Strup replaced it for me, but like Stu said, I had to pay for them to be removed and reinstalled. As far as performance, I say it makes a difference. GTO and I pretty much have the same set up (minus the headers) and when I got mine dyno/tuned at technosquare they were able to squeeze a good amount of ponies more for my setup.
