Just out of curiosity... how many of you guys would like a DIY for installing a long tube VQ (HR and VHR) intake system for a 2nd gen FX35/37 such as the Stillen Gen 3 for the g37 and the Takeda intake? I am going to be purchasing the Stillen Gen 3 for my car and if people arent really interested I dont want to waste my time making a DIY that will not help anyone.

it's an intake. I don't know how complicated this is on the 2nd gen but just by looking at the intake on the first gen, it doesn't seem complicated at all. And making a DIY probably wouldn't be so time consuming anyway

Do you know how the Gen 3 Stillen intake looks?

yea the stillen gen 3 requires some fab work because it goes in front of the radiator.

Seems to me that most difficult part about that is removing the bumper but then again, maybe there is something I am not seeing in this photo.
Do you have to make brackets or cut up radiator support?

cut the radiator supports out. The g37 already has holes in the radiator supports for the stock airbox and they just have to be enlarged. The FX is just a solid piece.

I think it'd be great if you're willing to do a write up! Very interested in this intake set-up

this system is good if you live in warm places with no snow. Looking like that intake system goes behind the grill, in winter it would be covered with slush and not work well at all and cleaning the filter would be a pain in the ass too

Well in California its not an issue but it comes with a splash shield that goes in front of it.
