Stillen blower gurgling noise

Hi All,

Need some expert help if there is regarding a gurgling noise when I hit the gas at low RPM. I have had my stillen blower for over 1 and a half years and just recently I have a water/gurgling noise from inside the cabin when I hit the gas.I just changed my supercharger belt so it's not the belt but the noise is still there..My mechanic said it could be the bearings. Another friend told me it could be the blowers snout as they usually go first due to the tension and stress from the belts. How many bearing does the stillen blower have and which bearings wear out quicker.

Any help or info would be great.

Water gurgling sounds heard from inside the cabin have been related to the FX cooling system in the past. If any work was done to your radiator or coolant lines, a bit of air might be trapped in the system and you just need to get it out for the gurgling noise to go away. I do not think this is related to your supercharger at all, unless the coolant system is hooked into the supercharger?

There is a coolant system vent fitting located by the firewall in front of the passenger side. You can open it to burp out the air, then tighten again. You should check the coolant level in the radiator (not the overflow reservoir) and continue to top it off as the air escapes each day for a few days of driving.
 
^^ what jumbo said... I had a similar problem many years and many cars ago and it ended up to be the cooling system.

Hi bud, O.K I will try and have my mechanic take a look.Yes the coolant system is hooked into the charger..Tested that last week and it was running fine..Could it be possible after 1 and half years of use with the stillen..The bearing could go bad? as the sound only come when I step on the gas at around 2000 or so RPM. Whn I release the gas NO SOUND..also there is alittle grinding sound as well..

Any other theories are welcome..Thanx buddy.

No, the cars coolant system is not connected to the stillen s/c system, it has its own non pressurized system. Check the water level in the superchargers coolant reservoir and make sure it is good. You can test the bearings by disconnecting the supercharger belt and driving the car. If the noise is gone when the belt is off, you are one step closer.
