Steering Wheel Shake?

strut springs suspension etc somethings loose and he wass kidding aboutr the block

Thanks guys. That is funny. I am new to the whole forum thing so it's hard to read into people's humor. Especially when you get those guys who think they know everything and just start throwing things out there. I will just have to get her up in the air and see what is moving around. Thanks again!

Well Folks,

I am an idiot. Turns out it was just low PSI in all four tires. All four were at 27PSI or below. Not good. I now have them at around 38PSI and the shake is gone. The ride is a bit rough but it feels much more stable. Thanks for all the help guys. On another note...Is there a website where I can buy a drop kit? Like springs and struts in one package? I would like to keep my stock wheel and tire setup just want to get some new struts and springs. I am nearing the 80K mark so I feel it might be time. Would like to go with the H&R's and KYB's. Thanks in advance.

There are a few, best one would be Tirerack. They do not always have the best prices out there but the customer service is next to none.

The shocks/struts can be bought (for pretty much the cheapest price) via shockwarehouse.com. Do a search here and you will find a discount coupon code which makes it less than 230 for all 4 shipped to your door. I used them and although the shocks/struts were on backorder the price was worth the wait.

Springs I couldn't find any place cheaper than ebay.

Since I was bored here is an estimate of cost from tirerack shipped to me (shipping will change price for you). Note that the shocks/struts are special order and not in stock items...

I had a persistent rattling on my FX35 coming from what I thought was the right front wheel area. After a couple weeks of investigation (and the noise getting worse) I found it to be the e-brake cable adjustment. You can tighten the e-brake cable a little via the nut that connects the cable to the pedal. If that's not enough, there is a more involved procedure for adjustment at the other end of the cable.

didnt want to start i new post so i figured post here... ive had this wheel shake issue for a few months now and the other night when driving on the highway it got really bad... i thoguht maybe all the snow in the wheels/wheel wells was causing this issue so i let it defrost in the garage overnight. today i went to start it up and heard some noise from the front end... the oil was low. i topped it up and there is still some noise from the front end... what could be causing this????

steering wheel shake

if your tires are balanced, and your steering wheel shakes when not applying brakes, your tires are most likely cupped.
