Steering Wheel Shake?

I haven't driven an SUV or crossover in a long time. Is it typical for the steering wheel to shake a bit when cruising at 50+?

Thanks guys. That makes sense. I do have a bit of a rattle sound coming from the front/right wheel when I go over a really uneven road too. Does this sound like anything specific?

bad alignment can cause vibrations? If so, this is good to know because I thought it was primarily rotor/wheel balance.

I thought alignment was more pulling to left/right/uneven tire wear.

I don't know guys. It doesn't shake when I hit the brakes hard or soft. The rattle sound does come from the right/front wheel. You guys think it may be a hub?

check the wheel's balance and the alignment.

Thanks a lot guys. The tires were brand new when I bought the car a week ago, so maybe the stealership cheaped out and didn't do an alignment. I will let you know what I find out.

its possible they threw tires on and didnt rebalance the wheel or anything...
so yeah, find out

These cars are EXTREMELY sensitive to imbalance. I fought a vibrating steering wheel for over a year before finding a shop that could properly balance, though I still deal with occasional vibration from road imperfections.

Besides some balance issues, does anyone have a clue what the rattle sound might be in my right/front wheel? Someone said a cracked engine block but I can't imagine.

I would check the hub centric rings especially if wheels were recently off, probably need replacing. Also is inexspensive so would try first.
