steering wheel shake at highway speed

My 06 fx35 with 104k miles recently developed a front end shake at highway speed.

Suspension components have been recently overhauled so I knew that wasnt the problem.

I noticed the hood would shake quite a bit at speed so I checked the rubber hood bumpers and they all were completely crushed and dry rotted.

Replaced with zspec g35/z hard silicone hood bumpers for $7 and shaking is gone!

A small and cheap (much cheaper than OEM) but mostly overlooked part for us 1st gen guys as these cars start showing their age.

Had very similar/same issue just while ago...thing was I need to rotate my tyres and also rotate rim around the one tyre for road force balancing.
Didnt even know something like this existed but aparently it does and making shaking issue goes away completely.

Try michelins next time around, theyre the quietest and most balanced tires ive come across.

This was exactly on Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV , I am not buying anything else once I tried Michelins...expensive, but worth it.
