Steering clank noise on 2009 model

I have noticed a couple of days ago that the steering makes a clank when i rotate the wheels to maximum. This happens only after the 2 rotations in each direction right\left. Any ideeas? I only heard it when the music was quiet. It could be because of the larger wheels? Running on 22' D'vinci P'ziente with 285/35R22 Nittos NT555..

Probably hitting the inside of the fender/wheel wells?

+1 see if you see any "clean" spots inside the wheel well.

Nope. It doesn't hitting/rubbing anything. The wheels move free. The sound comes from the inside from the steering mechanism, and it something metallic... I asked another mechanic and he told me that i should not be worried. He thinks also is because of the larger tires, the steering mechanism beeing forced more. Who knows... Anyway i still don't think it's ok..

try running your stock tires/wheels for a few days and see if the problem goes away.

1st gen had upper mount bearings go bad from time to time with modded springs. Not a difficult fix though, & a $25- part. Shouldnt be the wheel setup. Why dont you take it to the dealer?
