+1 but at the same time i think waiting for the it 100% completed would be worth it. I was hoping to see more pics of it from the metro infiniti meet but blehh :frown:

Yeah, same here. I was hoping he would show up fashionably late. hahahaha but nope.

Very nice avatar pmanliu.

I don't want to get that into it but there were some huge hurdles that I had to go through to get where I am today with this project.

During the process the Body Shop drilled a hole into the passenger side wheel well fender and with it pierced a hole in the main harnest. When the body shop turned the FX on it caused a chain reaction that fried the entire wire harnest, Power Train Module and ECU.

When I went to pick it up from the shop the FX would not run and I ended up towing it to Downey Nissan. My original thought that was when the car would not go past 1,500RPM's that the throtle position had to be reset and that would be that. Toy4x and I tried for about and hour to do the ECU reset to see if we could reset the throtle body but had no luck.

When I dropped it off it took about a week for them to tell me that the ECU neede to be replaced. I said Ok and they told me that the ECU would get to them with in 3 to 5 days.... 3 to 5 days turned into 2 to 4 weeks...At the end I got a new ECU in 6 weeks and when they installe the ECu the discovered that the harnest and power train module were fried. At the end of the day it cost me $6,500.00 for the repair of the FX.

Funny thing is that when I took the FX home I noticed that I had no Bass. I thought that maybe they disconected my sub-woofers to make sure that everything was ok with the power. Sure enough when I went to check my rear hatch the speakers and teh AMP were gone. LOL.. I was like: "WFT just happen?" I called Downey and they told me that they removed them so whey could work on the install of the harnest that goes to the back and that I could pick them up that same day. I told them that I would pick them up on Monday after work because I wanted to drive my baby arround for the weekend...LOL.. They called me up on Monday morning to tell me that the speakers were stolen.:confused: WTF... They told me that they would replace them at their cost and they apologized.

Total cost of this project in cluding Body work and repair $2X,XXX.00

:fever: I need a break...

now that is some drama!!!!! that is crazy take your time bro because we all know that money dont grow on trees and with stuff keep happening you have put in some work. I would have been going nuts over the ECU and Harness thing, and to top it off the SUB's got jacked......

Curse... what curse... just life.

Don't believe everything that you hear Alan. You should know better than that.

Kids Will be kids and find any excuse to put a spin on anything that happens to me.

That's just some of the hurdles, there are many others Bert has not mentioned that has yet to be resolved! But soon enough you guys will see the final product.

dang!!! why didnt the shop cover the damage they did to the ecu and harness? i mean it was their fault for drilling into it

Wow! What a Fvcking gr8 question!?!?!

:afraid: did i miss something??

edit:
i know its easier said then done and figured that the body shop tried to hide the problem they caused... just wondering how they defended themselves

sorry dude. also to hear all the mishaps. I 'll retract what I said ..... just so frustrating for you.

and +1 on the bodyshop taking responsibility.

important thing is that you have it back now! go Angels (for next year)

I got them to cover a reasonable amount of my cost.

I plan on modding my new BMW 545I with a new body kit and new paint job. The cost of the repair of the FX will go towards that.

I should get about $1,00.00 back plus the work done the BMW.

Well glad things are falling into place and things are being taken care of. Lets plan a mini meet so we can finally check out the final product when it's done.
