Squeaky Noise from Instrument / Radio Panel

Anyone has been experience squeaky noise from instrument & radio panel? I wonder if the Squeak and Rattle Repair Kit in the TSB (ITB98-065) would work?

Or any solution for silencing the plastic squeaky noise from the panels or door?

The noise is getting pretty annoying. :sad:
 
I had the instrument panel squeak. Everytime I was getting in and out, the instrument panel moves and causes the squeak. Had Infiniti fix per TSB. They had to fix it twice before it finally was quite...and then the second time they forgot to plug in my snow and vdc buttons. Has to do with replacing some plastic bushings.

Just started getting the door panel squeak on the drivers door. I plan to take it off, and put some foam tape around the panel where it hits the door. Not too hard to do.

Do you still remeber how much it cost you to fix the panel squeak at the dealership? Or it was within the 4 year warranty?

Did they just put the new foam between the panel or replace the panel?
 
The instrument panel was done during my 4 year warranty. I believe the whole instrument panel has to come out in order to get to those plastic bushings.

Maybe Turbocad would know if the whole instrument panel has to come off to replace the bushings, and how to do it.
 
well, I know there are plastic bushing issues in the steering column & that they can be a source of noise, but don't know any plastic bushings for the dashboard & I replaced my dash, the dash mounts with bolts, no bushings...

hmm... I guess I will need to talk to the dealer to find out how much they estimated first.

Is there a TSB related to the steering wheel plastic bushing?
