pics and type of paint please... thinking of doing myself but not liking the prep part... did you scuff the grille first

i just painted it, it's pretty easy.

^^ yea it can. i jus took a piece of string and slowly started to go in between the emblem and grill. While your moving the string around have someone else gently pull on the emblem and itll come off. Its glued on there so it takes about 5-10min to pull off.

Easiest DIY mod there is tbh, I personally used Dupi color black prime, and Dupi color gloss black,
1.Scuff
2.Prime
3.Paint
4.Dry
(also mentioned by stu)
tip* remember to leave at least 10minutes of dry time in between coats of prime and paint, learned this first hand spraying on the paint on too early not letting the prime dry came out all icky and ugly

all you need is a somewhat light touch of scuff. your just trying to etch the surface so the paint has a rough surface. A rough surface is a lot easier to attach to then a smooth one.

Pending on grit of sandpaper you use, it shouldn't take much. If you take off too much you create an uneven surface once you paint or it will leave lines and grains that you dont want. Lightly scuff with medium grit sandpaper. I might not need to scuff really, you can just do a couple of more primer. Primer creates that rough surface as well.
