haha sorry about that. You are right though, itd be nice for some suspension parts from HKS, NISMO. However we're lucky enough to be able to use their VQ35 parts without much modification needed already ;-)



sorry a little off topic but, recalled you mentioning you had a weekend 1000hp beast. Thats a serious monster, can we get a little teaser? hehe:biggrin:
 
haha, I just had to post whore a bunch of welcomes to fellow NOOBS just to be able to post pics! Anyways...


It's just your run of the mill single turbo 2JZ-GTE 6 speed Toyota Supra, fully upgraded fuel system able to support 1300hp. I have 2 different turbos for it depending on my mood, I swap to the smaller one (700 hp) for more lower speed driving fun (when I track it at Summit Raceway or for road trips through tight twisty roads), and a larger one (1000+ hp) for top end highway fun or when I take it to the dragstrip.

Here's some pics of her current state, she's been undergoing a steady stream of upgrades this year, including a new Greddy front mount intercooler, nearly 6 inches thick! :eek:
Here's a comparison shot next to my very first HKS intercooler from 10 years ago when I was only pushing 450hp. This will be my 3rd intercooler upgrade for it.

I bought her brand new 15 years ago, she only has 60,000 miles, and i'm the only one that has ever turned a wrench on her and all the work has been done in my garage, including building the shortblock and even the powdercoating.

I keep telling myself that I will NOT modify the FX when I get one, although my circle of friends including my wife have bets against me on that one! :laugh:

Damn Supras. I am always being tempted...today at my friends shop 4 terminator cobras, 1 C6, and a new supercharged SS camaro...and I pull in with the FX....sigh...

You know that first major purchase you make once you get a real job... I bought her as a college graduation gift for myself with my first signing bonus, so I definitely have an emotional attachment to her, and she has always been pampered and gotten the best available parts (like coilovers from a major Japanese company that actually does R&D in test labs and on the racetracks on the specific model car the parts were designed for, like HKS!):wink (2):

I'm going to take another hard look this weekend at a 2011 FX35. Something about the new body style that I just don't like compared to the the 1st generation body style. I'll have to decide if that body style can grow on me and if that's worth being able to order a brand new FX with exactly the options I want.
