Spare tire storage area

Hey,

Does anyone know if you can fit a normal sized tire in the spare area? I'd like to put at least an 18" seeing I'm running 22's or do you guys think that won't matter?

I guess if the tire you're putting in there is also a 175 width tire then it might fit.

The spare tire area is too shallow for a full size spare. I don't see any problem running the factory compact spare with your 22s unless your 22s setup is way way difference than the 30.43" in diameter as the factory compact spare, 18s, and 20s.

OEM compact spare is fine, the rolling diameter is the same, just much narrower. Unless you went to a very large diameter tire on the 22"s, no need for bigger spare. It will look silly if you ever have to use it with 22"s though, I know from personal experience. But functionally, totally fine.
