Somethings Wrong Help!

Hey guys, so long story short after I did my AUX bypass so I can watch movies on the go!, 2 days later I was driving and when I got to a red light the car started like giving more power for example I was not pressing on the gas and it sounded like if it was accelerating and shaking not normal at all and then the car turned off.. So I turned it back on and the same thing happend.. So next morning I sent my fx to the dealer in a flatbed and it was there for 2 days they end up telling me your car is perfectly fine we did not detect anything in the computer everything is in order! But we did clean your thrutol and we did a reflash on the computer.. So I was like thanks and what not.. So today when I left the dealer the problem went away but a new problem just came up and it's when I'm driving the car in M from 2 down shift to 1 the car shakes like crazy to the back and front and a very bad lag only happens from 2 to 1 and it's not all the time only some times!! So I went back to the dealer and they were like we don't know what to tell you becouse the computer docent detect any problems. I ask them what am I supposed to do? And they told me put the intake back to factory maybe that should do the trick.. Man it's so annoying I don't know what to do!! And I know for a fact it docent have to do anything with the intakes but I guess I'll try it today or tomorrow. :/ help!!
 
That is weird Bubito.
Are you running oiled air filters, if so maybe a bit of excess oil from the filters are messing with your MAF sensors and causing this erratic behavior..
 
They may have re-flashed your ecu, time may just sort out the weird behavior... I say go for a long drive and let it learn..
 
Mmmm I am running on oil air filter factory! But they told me they cleaned the throttle and a trani reflash... But I'm going to try overpassimg it maybe a long drive who knows... :/ thanks
 
IF the car acts erratic, then the SES light should come on since the car constantly monitors all levels and then you can see what code it gives.

Are you the first owner of the FX?

I had an errratic problem with a car I used to have a very long time ago....it was like 50/50 chance it would start and/or have problems, otherwise would run PERFECT. Same problem...I would be sitting at a stop light and then almost like someone hits me from the back even when I have the brake on....I was always afraid because of this coming unexpected and me parked and hitting somebody in front of me. The car was perfect, but one day the engine block got a crack in it and/or something else after gunning it....after that and many trips to the dealerships, they could never fix the erratic behavior because all tests pass fine, but then so many times it was chance how the car would behave. When I sold this car trading it in to the dealer, I had my fingers crossed that it would behave normal when they were testing it out...they returned and said wow great shape car and gave me good trade in value....the person getting this car afterwards was going to be in a big surprise....sometimes you can never solve a problem until just just get another one....depends how massive the original problem was that caused it.

If you are first owner, it must be something that happened...my guess is something mechanical in engine or the computer ecu is going bad. I'm not sure how aggressive you drive which maybe something from that caused it...for example have you recently gunned it more or did something out of the ordinary that maybe this problem started happening.
 
Mmmm thanks bro, but Yeah i drive my fx like a crazy love to go fast when I can I fill her up every 5 days :/ lol but I would say she should be used to it sins I drive here like that sins the first day I got her.. And yes I'm the first owner! I'm just going to give her a bit of time running it and if it docent go away I'll putmy OEM intake on and take her to the dealer.. Te get her fixed..
 
So i was about to take her for a spin and when to put her in revers and she just shut off... And I turned her on and started shaking Fu*k man lol taking her to the dealer tomorrow morning in a flatbed once again! You guys think it has anything to do with the AUX bypass? Im not sure it dose but just in case.. ?

If this problem only started when you did that AUX bypass, I would try to put it back stock and see what happens.
If the problem is still there then it's time to put the stock intake back on and call the Dealer. You don't want them to have any reason to say it's your fault.
 
Sounds like you shorted the ecu somehow. I'd inspect everything you touched to make sure there are no bare wires or damaged connectors. Did you run any wires in the center console? Is it possible that moving the shift lever pulled a wire somehow?

Video tape the problem and show it to the service advisor so thy have an idea what is going on. If they can't reproduce the problem than that the next best thing. Also, you can ask to take the mechanic for a test drive to show him directly what's going on.
 
yeah man, if you did an aux bypass I'd def say to go back to that. check everything to be fully plugged in & nothing connected wrong. that bucking in the 2-1 shift sounds like transmission control... this is tied into one of the computer boxes in the radio stack on first gens, I'm assuming the second gen is similar, take it back apart & check everything you touched
 
Agree with Turbo.

When I took out my stock stereo to have it repaired, and I turned the car on...all the lights on the dash lit up and the car ran like crap. Reinstalled the stereo and the car ran like a champ.
 
you must have started it with the ac control amp unplugged. that's the plastic box in the radio stack, when unplugged it lights the dash up like a Christmas tree,the shifter wires go to this module & it is part of the can buss, most likely the problem here is with one of the plugs on that module...

Well right now my fx is @ the dealer... it has been all day! tomorrow they told me they are going to call me up to let me know what’s up! i really don’t think it’s the Aux bypass i did everything exactly like in the DIY... any who! When they give me my fx back and if something goes wrong once again ill put the radio back to factory! and if it keeps with the problem probably going to trade her up :( will see what happens!

It will be very interesting what they find! I really hope they find something....you should take videos of how the car was and tell them stop telling me the car is ok! lol
 
That sounds kind of similar to what happened to me. Only difference is I didn't notice anything unusual while the car was on. I started off in the morning just fine, then pulled over and parked to adjust my cargo because it was making too much noise and when I tried to start my car, it would rev up like it was about to start and then die. I tried about 5 times before I gave up, didn't want to cause any damage to the starter or anything else.

The only mod I did was the camera mod, and I did that when the DYI came out which I'm guessing was a year ago? I also have an Invidia exhaust that's been on since beginning of 2010 so I don't see how that could be a cause.

Dealer said same thing, that I had a sticky throttle and they would clean it...as well as my wallet. Getting her back tomorrow so I'll see if they found anything else.

Keep us updated! Dirty throttle body seems a lil fishy when car was running fine up until it just dies.
