Possibly, the previous owner couldn't afford it anymore and had to dump it? Awesome car, but maintenance on AMG models are very frequent and costly. Great ride, but just keep that in mind.

either way, the C63 is a freakin' beast... I didn't like them at first, and was always favoring the M3, but the thing about M3's is that they are everywhere... Have you considered the Audi RS4?
