got it in the mail today. Now as for this weekend, I need someone else with a PC laptop to do this for everyone else. its all about the house right now sorry.

I'm going to swing by but you can take me off the list for those looking to reprogram. Cipher won't communicate with my car.

I've got a PC running Vista...I can bring it but, i dont feel comfortable running the program on anyones car.

Also, I dont know how long batterys last so it might be a good idea to bring an inverter, if someone one.
 
What kind of pc laptop? Any kind? I could borrow my brother's...........i think it's an HP widescreen but runs on crappy Windows Vista.......if that works, I'll bring it
 
Glad you got the cable!! I'm not sure how well Cipher works on Vista, I heard that its got some issue but check the UpRev site for further details. I believe you can set the program to run as Xp mode.

I can't see how you can mess up the ECU with the Cipher, it was designed to be user friendly.

Enjoy guys, make sure to clear the learned fuel maps!!
 
Just installed Windows 7. I'll look at Uprevs site to see if it'll work but don't count on me since I'll have my wife and kids with me and they may not want to stay for too long. I'll bring my MiFi too in case we need acceess.

I have couple of PC laptops at home, but I don't know if I can make this thing on Sunday. I'm banking more on going to Alan's house directly with Carlos. Let's do it Carlos!!!

My wife is Taiwanese (I'm not). I'm not 100% certain I will come on Sunday.

LOL, sensitive topic! Being politically correct, I say i'm Chinese too, my grandpa was a General in the war with KMT fighting with Chiang Kai Shek against communist China during the civil war. They moved to Taipei, Taiwan when they lost.......now buried in the KMT army place in Neihu (5 finger mountain)......anyway, if you guys don't bring out your girls, I'm gonna have a hard time at hooters.....

i am full chinese but my wife is cambodian but bringing my 7 month old daughter out so they can mingle dont worry....we most likely will just chill tilla bout 2 or 2 30 after we get everyones +2 done or so and then go grab grub and then finish off....
 
Merch, is there going to be a day that your available to do this besides Sun? I'm not going to be able to make it to the meet Sun, but would like to be able to stop your house/ meet up somewhere, and get this done real quick before its sent back east.
 
..ok I got the uprev working on my wifes laptop running vista. downloaded the new version from uprev's website.

I will try real hard to mark this meet. I have it planned on sunday to paint the garage early (before 9 am), I'll be done in time for the meet. (I hope :tup:) all the prep work has started.

Toy4x, we can meet up early next week also.
