SoCal +2 meet 10/25

Yeah, good weather this weekend. Rain tomorrow and Wednesday. Maybe some drizzle today is what they said on the news. We are under "STORMWATCH" hahahaha

Is this true? I was actually anticipating the +2 mod to increase my mpg!
 
depends how you drive... if your a conservative driver then it should be slightly more efficent, resulting in slight fuel savings, but the flipside of this is, by being more efficent, it has the potential to make a bit more power too, thereby reducing mpg slightly...

well it's the same as the premium fuel vs economy fuel debate... it's pretty much an accepted fact that you will not save $ by using regular, as mpg will be slightly better with premium making up for the difference. the reason it is slightly better mpg with premium is because the timing will not need to be retarded for detonation... the increase in timing is an increase in efficency, thereby closing the gap on the savings...

here with the +2 is the same thing...

another annalogy is for example turbo charging. if all things were equal & you added a turbocharger to your car, you would have the potential of actually increasing your mpg if you drove it very easily... the turbo will increase your efficency... of course at the same time it is also increasing your potential to make even more power too, & it would obviously burn even more fuel thasn before if you tap the potential it does give you...

I'm just trying to squeeze the best mpg from our fx! I just hope at 60 mph / 2000 rpm range will give me at least addl' 1-2 mpg.....so just keep the throttle easy, and keep my driving habits the same when i get +2 as now, then should be safe to say I gain 1-2 mpg.....
 
It seems like the place will be the hooters in anaheim or my friend's shop in Tujunga. FYI, the Tujunga place is still available if needed. Anaheim is fine with me too, though. So, Dopie, you're going to set the date and place? I think you or Merchant should just set it and let everyone know, so we all know who's going to make it or not.:rolleyes:
 
ok well i gotta see when merch gets the device i havnt revieced a text or call tellin me the device has arrived so. from what i see it as the location most likely would be the hooters at anahiem stadium on sunday at 2 p.m.

I sent it to canada on a monday & it got there on that friday, return shipping probably about the same I'd guess, so you may not know for sure until friday really...
