so the dealer gave me a ex35 loaner car

I also like the handling of the EX. Really wish it was offered with a manual transmission.

Major FX advantages are rear seat room and exterior appearance.

I'm driving a loaner 2008 EX and it absolutely rips. Feels as quick as my FX45. Possibly quicker. Of course, it is way lighter and smaller... I still prefer the power and appearance of my "full size" model.
Let's just say ( and my wife agrees ) this is not a mans car.

I've driven an EX35 before I purchased my current FX. My comparison to the EX35 with my second gen 09 FX35 is quite different. I noticed the the EX rides a tad smoother than my 2nd gen FX. It takes bumps just a littler better. But the FX handles a bit better though compared to the EX. The space inside is horrible in the EX though. Even the G37 coupe feels bigger inside. In specs it actually is, which is the sad thing lol. And I mean that legroom wise, not trunk space.

I didn't like the navigation screen either. I found out that the EX has a 7" navi screen, compared to my FX which has a huge 8" navi screen. It may not seem like much, but after looking at it for a while, it's very noticeable. Another thing I didn't like was the lack of a good exhaust on the EX. The 2nd gen FX35's exhaust has a good growl to it, compared to the EX which has NOTHING! The exhaust on the EX is completely silenced and tuned differently. That also explains why the EX35's HR motor lacks about 6 HP less than my 2nd gen FX's HR motor.

It's so obvious that the EX35's design was targeted more for women. That chestnut interior color option is something that gives it away. It looks very feminine.

Newer lighter faster

Well, the EX35 doesn't weigh as much as the FX35. It is also smaller and handles more like a car.

so what does it come down to?

no one really cares for the exterior style, but do like the performance respones of the HR engine. would just be easier to do some performance mods and definitely a reflash to achieve the same results on the 1st gen & 2nd gen? :hmmmm2:

I guess they do feel quick, cause I had a kid with a ex35 up my azz on the hwy, and I really wanted to see what it was capable off, When we hit a long stretch I let him come next to me and we went off... I pulled a good 2cars or so on it with my first gen.

SO I'm guessing 1st gen FX, with (Test pipes/hfcs/ or ART pipes), Full exhaust, intake, manifold spacers, and Osiris or technosquare tune will hand ass to it.

If u want the quick feel, I think RWD 1st gen Fx, with like 3.9 gears will be pretty quick.
Btw anyone did gears on their Fx. change up the FD ratio.

The EX35 feels quicker than the 2nd gen, too. The fact that it is more nimble and has fewer blind spots helps, too. I was given one for Friday and Saturday, and I definitely like the way it drives. It's ugly, though, and tiny, so I wouldn't buy it. If it looked better, I wouldn't mind having it as a daily driver for myself, but the FX was purchased as a family vehicle, so I couldn't recommend an EX over the FX in that aspect.

You guys like the white wheels on white cars? I don't, but not sure if most like it.
