anyone know of a "Mod-Friendly" Smog check place?
I have a 2003 Mitsu Eclipse with an Injen RD Cold Air Intake and the place I went to for a smog chck said they wont do my car because it has an aftermarket mod... i even provided a copy of the CARB EO# for the piece, but because "Injen" doesn't carve the model # on to the intake, they wont accept it...

any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

I recently took my BMW to two places in Glendora, and both failed me on inspection because of the lack of a CARB sticker on my air intake.

I then took it to Silva's Smog Test Only Center in Azusa, and they tested it. When it passed emissions, they didn't really bother with the intake anymore. Really, if it passes the emissions test, isn't that all that really matters?

Maybe they'll get shut down now - cuz this IS a PUBLIC FORUM folks.
Im just saying........

Also did my first smog check last week and passed without issue even with the +2 and TS ecu flash. c02 14.50 @ idle and 2500k rpm.

Measured
15mph:
HC - 32 (max is 47) <----i'm guessing due to the +2 advance for higher #
CO - 0.03 (max is 0.60)
NO - 1 (max is 494)

25mph:
HC - 7 (max is 31) <-----timing probably retards down to average level
CO - 0.02 (max 0.73)
NO - 0 (max 747)

also maybe the 6,700 miles from last oil change plays a factor.......it'll be interesting to see what it'll be with fresh oil....

Tires inflated at 40 psi......

RPM range:
15 mph - 1711
25 mph - 1663
