smart cruise or normal?

The sensor is the black rectangle box on the passenger side right? I remember seeing someones pictures where they put their license plate off center on that side, and thought that It would mess up the cruise control.

I noticed that if someone changes lanes right in front of you while the cruise control is on, the car will beep at me, indicating it doesn't think it can slow down enough to avoid hitting them and I needed to do something. I thought the system just let off the gas, didn't know it also braked.
 
It beeps if you are coming behind a much slower moving car, if something is closer than the brake zone, and if you tap the parking brake on accident. :tongue:
