So about a month ago, i noticed that my side mirrors on my 05 FX no longer moved. I changed the fuse about a week ago and i got some movement back. However, both sides move in a sluggish way. Also, if i want to go right, i have to go left first and then immediately flip right. It will then move. Same thing for going up and down. I am not even sure that the fuse was the actual initial problem. I probably did not try the go one way and them immediately flip to the other trick when the problem was first noticed. Anyone ever run into this problem? Kinda weird that both sides would crap out at the same time. Makes me believe its not a mirror motor problem but some other component that controls both mirrors.

There was one time when one side mirror was acting up. It moved slow and didn't move through its full range. But after a week or so, it worked fine.

I have the same issue with the both mirrors and at times that trick of moving to one direction and immediately flipping to the opposite direction still does no work. Have not asked the dealer about it but was meaning to. I believe its probably the motor/actuator has worn out and needs replacement.
