Silver Surfer - FX45 :: 2006 Infiniti FX45

After taking care the of the business the fun part begin
Wanted see some NWFX rides together!

Ah man I was about to cut my vacation short and run over from Eastern WA lol

Thanks man, I enjoy driving the FX each and every time I take it out. Now if I can just get that one little buzzing noise somewhere inside the dash to go away.... =)

Not the center speaker???

Maybe you blew your other Bose speakers (paper), and it cracked or teared. Throw juice to them, buzzz buzzz buzzz.

Won't be a problem with brand new Alpine speakers...

Pretty sure it's not the center speaker as I removed it.....need a stethescope and a willing driver (that would NOT be my wife) so I can poke around inside the dash using the center speaker hole as an access point. Parts list? =) your cousin almost done?

Done, but need to fine tune.

Actually sounds a little better without the front speakers in at all = cheaper and better...

Door speakers are so nice, they just overpower and the front speakers just add more volume so not really needed. He said he would rather pull them...

I already lost the center speaker, and not the front two???

So this is what is taking a while. We're listening to different types of music carefully and seeing what really works best and sounds great.

Give us another week maybe.

Hey Logan,
Question...how did you get the Turbocad Mercedes signals?? Did he custom make these for you and how hard are they to install? Anyone post a DIY on how to do these? Thx

You can request them from him. Requires some shaving of the inner housing.

MARUS sells some bolt-ons as does ebay. Not as nice and one-off as of Turbo's, but simple bolt on. I have the MARUS ones, they are good.

Thx Ed,
On the ones Marus sells....do they come with good instructions. Is it pretty easy to do aside from removing the door panels?

yeah, there is a DIY on the infinitifx.org that I used (more like I drank a beer and watched CHIFX45 do it). Took him maybe 30 minutes each side.

This was/is a great mod.......having a solid performance shop makes such a difference.

Def a huge fan of your whip. Everything was done nice and clean. I really like the brake setup. Wish I would of saved up more and got a set like that. But instead I was cheap and got some R1 Concepts haha. You mentioned you noticed huge improvement on braking... was it a crazy difference or slightly more than oem setup ?
