Silver Surfer - FX45 :: 2006 Infiniti FX45

Andy, take notes. You're pulling my engine next time I stop by your tuner shop. When are you going to buy a AWD dyno btw?

Hahaha Ed, I see where you're going. No plan for expansion, my friend. Have other priorities too.

So we had a few members from Seattle area join recently. Definetly meeting up when you get it back. And I mean the next day before some other problem pops up (hope not though)

Hah, hell yeah it was two weeks run time this last go around, lets hook up before I blow it up again! BTW- You holed up at home Nick? Snowmaggedon is dangerous man, been sitting in my dining room buying FX stuff all day. Now I know that work keeps me in line AND off line.......

Was whining to the tech at AMSOIL today about the weather (they are in Superior WI.) he said "yeah, tell me about it, its 29 degrees here - BELOW" I apologized and finished up my order =)

Haha funny story. It's not exactly 29 below here thankfully lol. Yup holed up with the girls, playing monopoly. My FX is RWD and wifey took the other car to work, so not much choice here... Besides shoveling the driveway

What's up bro, I have a 06' FX45. Definitely interested in the Ijen CAI. Could you provide a little more info about install? Do I purchase the CAI for the 06' M45? Appreciate your feedback. Awesome ride!!

Nice, 0645 a great ride - Really love the interior (hah, I love most everything about the car). Welcome to is BTW!

So I purchased the CAI from http://www.autoanything.com/ 9.10.11 and yes it is made for the 2006 M45 VK. The upper mount bracket (on the CAI tube) you will see lays on top of the bolt you will use for mounting (it needs to be turned 90 degrees) I had it re-welded and it looks stock I believe you could also have it heated and bent. Once this mount is isn place the lower mount is a no item (at least in my book) as the unit is not going any where. I changed the INJEN filter out for the 9" AMSOIL filter and cut a few inches off the body tube. The 9" AMSOIL UNIT with center/end cone will flow enough for a frigging appache jet helipopter. AMSOIL filter with open end design #3590 also purchased AMSOIL pre-filter sleeve #eAPF18 to prevent water intake . IF you don't want to cut he pipe you can use the the 4" inlet K&N unit. I prefer non-oiled units but regardless I would do the pre-filter sleeve (either Amsoil or K&N)

Keep me posted man!

Thanks man! The Nismo system is an excellent piece of hardware, build quality and sound are exactly what I was looking for. I had the opportunity to hear it before the header install and it was perfect at that stage also. Really like a system that is somewhat stealth (mild at ilde and on mellow acceleration) on WOT it really opens up like a sport exhaust should.

Pulled out the GT-spec aluminum under belly pan, extra spacers for final/final fitment (now that wheel wells have been done AGAIN) mid brace still sits (back on hold now that 21" wheels I was buying were stolen at Firestone where they were waiting to ship :(, latest addition to"pile" - coil overs, waiting for BC/KIDO swap. Pretty sure there is more but the storage is all torn up.....

Yeah, not happy but no choice, many emails back and forth....Firestones pay off for 4 stolen 21" wheels $850.00, weak pay off?

Very weak. I'd be pushing for the whole $1300 he sold them to you for. The buyer should show em the screenshots of your pm to prOve how much they're worth. Or even get a quote from the dealer. Then threated with legal action. Worked for me (the dealership/FX fiasco I told you about)

I never paid for the wheels we were still determining how to ship the. Seller had them removed, Firestone left them by the front door (what I was told) there was a manager change suddenly no one knew where they were. My buy price was $1,300.00 seller should have at least asked for the confirmed sales price.
