Showtime @ Orange County Choppers NY 6/28

Love the stance of Cad's FX.....looks so F'N mean.
Congrats on the trophys, guys!
How many of you guys showed?

on behalf of Larry:

We would like to thank everyone who came out to the show today. The turnout was better than expected and the weather was ideal. We just about filled OCC's lot in 45 minutes with some of the Sickest Nissan, Infiniti and Datsun's in the North East. That just shows the level of commitment our community has and the quality of our cars.

In the end we hope everyone had as much fun attending the show, as we did hosting it. The vibe and atmosphere was great and we are pleased with the results.

Special thanks to:
Alan aka: Zingmoney
Drew+gf aka: Frontier
Mike aka: IronMike
Jon aka: Jzurita
and all of the friends and family.

As a heads up, Showtime AutoSports has been asked by O.C.C to hold another event for our season closer. For this event the judging will be done earlier for more efficiency.

Please be sure to check us out on the web at www.ShowtimeAutoSports.com and be sure to keep an eye on our event section for upcoming events including the season closer at O.C.C View attachment 170983 .

Again from me, thanks for coming out guys... i was able to take a few shots of the FX's im still recovering from this sunburn and hopefully ill be able to edit them tonight and post them. Hope to have more of you guys show up for the season closer. If i can get enough interest from FX and EX guys i'll see if i can get your own class.

wow, guess that explains why I thought the judging was pretty wack. I was waiting & waiting for a judge that never came  guess if it didn't fit into any class that might explain it...

the show was cool, I think the organization could use a little improvement though. I was really looking foward to the tour of occ but got there & set up, cleaning & prepping for judging at 1pm, I didn't even realize that the tour was before judging... wish I woulda known they weren't going to really judge the fx's or I wouldn't have waited from 1 till almost 4 for a judge that never came... overall cool show & big props to you guys for organizing it, was a great day & went well overall except for the things I mentioned...

every car was judged, ya maybe not really methodically done i agree. this was our first event that we've ever made and we went to many other meets prior to get ideas on what to do and what not to do. We werent perfect i agree, again theres alot of details that did get over looked. one of the main issues we had was where to put the cars. The lot isn't really ideal in setting cars up in class' and we never really do know how many people are going to show up making the set-up a little more difficult. Overall we felt like everything went fairly smoothly and had no major issues at the show. All we can do is strive for better "flow" with feedback from the contestants. Coming from a contestant at many other shows it was different being on the other side of the fence.

bro, please don't take my comments as complaining or critisizing, I'm just giving input that might be useful for you, but no, my car was not really judged... as far as I know judging is supposed to be based on a points system... there is no way that could have been done if the judge never spoke to me about my car & never knew about most of my modifications, never seen my touchscreen pc system up & running or all that it controls & how it is integrated, no way he could have known about my utec, there is no way he could have known about my custom black pearl paintjob or my body upgrade or the many other custom things that would have appeared stock unless you really know the fx... again, please don't take this as complaining, I was not so serious into competing anyway & was just there for a good time & the tour of occ's facility & hanging out anyway, but I felt like I wasted my time getting ready for nothing...

when they did anounce that judging was done & everything was being tallied up I was still waiting to be judged... I finally did see the judge & asked him & he said oh, I did see your fx & left it at that... I really didn't want to be a cry baby or seem like I was trying to be a pain, but I was baffled, so I then went back to him & said well when did you look at it cause I was by the car from 1 till almost 4 & you skipped right over it, he said that he looked at it in the morning when I was cleaning it? I just left it at that & didn't want to be a dick, but no, I don't think that's judging a car at all... there is so much that there is no way he could have seen without me telling him about it, but he didn't seem interested...

again, big props for a cool show, just felt like the judging was off, not even that I deserved any trophy at all, even though I did get one. I would have felt better if the judge actually did see my car & actually seen everything that I have done to it & then I got no trophy at all...

don't want to sound like a cry baby & I wasn't even gonna bring it up, but hopefully you can take this info as information to help...

no there was no offense taken... we have some work to do especially on that behalf, i completely agree there is much better ways to make the judgin process quicker and more efficent and all of this info will be shared with Larry and we will work on makin a better judgin system. as we were leaving the show we were already in discussions about the judging part. So i hope you do decide to come back again when we hold the season closer, i assure you the judging process will run smoother and start it earlier.

yeah bro, I would come back anyway no problem, just figured a bit of input might help...

might think about having a place on the registration sheet for entrants to list there modifications so when the judge does go to a car he at least knows what to look for in that vehicle & knows what he is looking at... would make it much more efficent & help the judge breeze through the cars easier too, he wouldn't even have to talk to each participant while judging unless he had a question about something in particular.

guess you might think about either developing your own type of point system or even adapting a point system from some other organization if you haven't already... to make the effort to judge & give trophies it's probably a good idea to have the judging a bit more organized... nothing is worse than the kind of show that just tries to spread the trophies around just for the sake of giving out trophies... in a real show with real competitors it's not uncommon for a contestant to even request to see a score sheet. judging is supposed to be as impartial as possible & even though a judge can be swayed a bit by personal opinion, for the most part it's all about the points... that's the only way they can make it work even when there are multiple judges... I do wish you the best & hope you do well in the future with this man, overall I think you did a good job organizing & promoting this... no, a great job... & overall it was cool... not my place to but in maybe, maybe there are times that just spreading out trophies is good enough too, just giving some observations & opinions I guess for what there worth...

oh yeah, to add a suggestion too, no one in the back rows heard anything that was said over the pa's all morning... might be a good idea to do a few extension speakers, don't know about the datsun side but they were pretty far too... what you put togeather was real good overall, especially for a first time, congrats on a sucess overall...

i was concerened about the speakers and tried to yell out importnatn announcements to the guys furthest away from the speakers. the UCONN show was horrible for speakers, they get over 300 cars in the lot and 2 dinky speakers. So again thats something else that we will address... Thanks for all of your input, we will compile and figure out how to make the next show be more efficent.
