Quick question why different rotors for the front and the rear?

At the time I purchased the rotors they had shipped me 2 pairs of front rotors by mistake. So I had no choice but to go with OE for the rear and a pair of the received DBA 4000T3 for the front. Now I have the StopTech slotted rear, DBA 4000T3 front, Hawk HPS 5.0 pads. Unfortunately it was very difficult to find the correct rear DBA4000T3 rotors, I purchased the rear 3 times from 3 different distributors, but they had sent me incorrect parts every time and when I reinquired they kept saying its backordered with DBA. So I gave up on the rears and went with StopTech.
Oh ok I was looking for the dba T3 400 series rotors but only seem to find rears at autoanything.com
