My SES light came on last week, then it was off, 3 days later it came on again for a day and has been off ever since. While sitting at a red light it idles good, then it idles around 1000 and still drives perfect. I haven't messed with my engine for 1 1/2 years. So can i fix this by doing the pedal dance or can i just disconnect my battery overnight or should i be concerned. I will check if any hoses are loose. I do have a k&n cone that is probably due for a cleaning but not sure if that would cause the SES. Thoughts please lol

I would pull the battery first to reset, then see if it comes back. If it doesn't, you're fine, but if it does, then there is an issue. And of course check your vacuum lines, but there aren't that many. The only way I could see the K&N causing an issue would be if there was too much oil on the filter and it coated your MAF.

Well it's been a while but i disconnected the battery overnight and the problem is still there, it's not as bad but it's there. Checked the vacuum hoses and they are fine. Will the pedal dance do anything? Might have to wait till it warms up to look further into this

If you disconnected the battery overnight, the pedal dance won't do anything. You've effectively reset the ECU and it didn't fix the problem so the problem is recurring.
