Hey guys, yesterday i went to get gas and the guy topped it off which is what the problem maybe now, from what the autozone guy said to me. The trouble shoot number is P0455 and below that it says. I tired the last one since it was the easiest and the only one I knew how to do lol. I read somewhere 3 clicks is where its suppose to be but no luck. Anywho hopefully you guys can help me with this and its a easy fix. Im going on a roadtrip on friday and would this be a problem if i drove with in this condition? The guy at autozone explained that theres some sort of canister that holds stuff and i can empty it and it may fix the problem, any ideas if that would work and where this thing is located? Thanks guys

P.S. When i got the refill the light didnt come on immediately. I've been driving around that day. 30 mins to one place took a break, drove another 1.5hrs and during the 1.5hrs the light came on. It was about 90degrees yesterday too.

Control system gross leak detected
Probable cause

-EVAP purge solenoid faulty
-Canister vent solenoid faulty
-Blocked vapor canister
-Faulty EVAP pressure sensor
-Loose or defective fuel cap.

True, well im leaving friday, you guys think it be bad to drive with it for a few days? Taking a long trip.

If it's a loose gas cap, it will often go away on it's own once properly tightened. I would reset the ECU and see if the code comes back. Either way, it's fine to drive on. Just an emissions system related to the fuel vapors. Doesn't really affect any other system.
