Service Engine Soon Light

When I started my car this morning, for a second it seemed like it was idling high. After a second it went back to normal. The the service engine litght came on.
In the past month, I have jumped 3 cars. My battery died while listening to the radio and putting on my wheels. Then one morning it was dead. All of my service is up to date. I know I need to clean my air filter and need a new battery. The only thing that comes to mind is O2 sensor..?

Anyone that can help, it would be greatly appreciated... Thanks Everyone.

ditto on the codes, that will help us mucho.

Also, what are the highest and normal idle readings?

Sorry... when I went to check the gas cap, my fuel gate was acting up. After unlocking it from behind the cap was not on tight, but it did not stop the light. This may sound crazy but where is the reset switch... And even crazier... where or how do I get the codes?

Oh yeah, norman idle after a cold start (68 degrees) is @ a grand. Today it was a little below 1,500 rpm.

reset the ecu and see if any codes or problems return

have you cleaned your throttle body recently?

Done and done... Thank you for the link and a second hand was crucial. I was nervous all day. Fresh H& Rs going on this weekend. In my possession is a Uni chip, with a Legamax on back order. Lots of toys on the way and the last thing I wanted is for the FX to go on the D L. Thanks again for the help.

Great to hear that you got it resolved Danny...

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Glad to know that there are other FX'r here to help.

WE need pics of you baby man..

The code is written down at my office, but it seems sluggish. It feels normal after 3,000 rmp. Almost like VTEC or turbo lag, off the line it's less responsive but after 3 k it seems to be running proper... I don't know.
