service engine light soon light came on

Ok, here is the deal right before coming home yesterday from S.F I notice my service engine soon light came on. this was just after switching to manumatic mode, upon trying to accelerate the ride I notice nothing happened, my FX would not shift or accelerate over 45mph. I'm hoping it is not a torque converter issue but I'll find out later today. after stopping the ride, turning it off and re-starting everything seemed to work as normal but the light stayed on.

Any body ever have this problem or something similar? any ideas as to what this could be?
 
I wish I could have but I was over am hour from the house ok Sunday everything was closed and didn't want chance busting anything so I pulled off the hwy and called roadside service to come toe it. So hopefully it is nothing to servere.
 
looks like transmission failure. The bad thing was I don't thrash my ride. But I might start once they rebuild my trans.
 
Hey fellas I wish it was the MAF sensor but no luck on that. I also thought that IOFF would say something about the TC but they are going to take care of my ride and fix the tranny for me. so big thanks on that to IOFF. I was planning on coming down to L.A visit some friend and try to sneak in some tunning somewhere once in the area but that won't happen. looks more like I'll be in a loaner instead of my FX. I won't do any internal mods unless parts are new and tuned by people that know what they are doing, you just never know though...
 
yeah, I'm happy so I won't complain. hope to have her back in a few days or after I get back from traveling some where since I'm taking time off. if I do head down anyway I'll give you guys a shout.
 
it looks like I'll be leaving tomorrow morning and coming back Saturday if all goes well. going to visit my GF's niece near the UCLA. I'll know for sure though in a few hours.
