Hello, I am brand new to the forum and want to learn how to:
  • change the serpentine belt ... I've never done this before
  • make a decision on which replacement brake pads & brake fluid to use ... recomendations on brake pads and fluid would be appreciated ... this is my daily driver, but I'm always looking for better braking performance.

Hey mark welcome to IS..

We have a search bar and I'm pretty sure that if you type belts it'll direct you to the a thread on how to change your belts .. I was a virgin too the first time i did it.. It's pretty easy.. For braking performance I'll simply recomment a big brake kit.. If you don't have the money just get after market slotte rotors.. For brake pads I'm using "green stuff" so far they are really good just a bit dusty that's all. The brake fluid I'm using is super blue racing brake fluid.. It works awesome and you can change it every 3-4 years..

If you didn't know the OEM fluid is recommended to change it every year!! I found that out and I was so surprised.

Good luck

Texas FXer...yay...Welcome
if you're a traditional person and mods aren't that important then i say stick with OEM pads and fluids. OEM brakes do very well to be honest.
as for belts, get some gatorback belts from autozone, follow the diy below and you're good to go...it's very easy..

the process to change the belts is the same as for Infiniti G35, so if you find any instructions on that car, that will help you also.
