Second Smart Key

Looking to get a 2nd smart key, anyone know where to get one besides the dealer? They are charging about $400!

ebay.com or craigslist.org, you'll need the nissan/infiniti dealer to re-program the smart key/chip.

I do have an extra smart key. PM me if you cant find any.

hi everyone wish you all a happy new year 2012 i am seeking info on how to program the fob on infinity fx40 2006 without going to the dealer???? and has anyone had issues with their fuel guauge it shows empty when i pimp full tank........pls reply thanks........:smile (2):

ok i am new to this forum so pls help ,e out with the fuel gauge how do u remove the dash to access the fuel gauge meter inside the car dash?????pls

I saw some crazy sequence in another post before on how to program the key yourself, not sure if it was real or not. I need to get a second smart key myself.

I'm not sure but I thought if you have 2 the seat presets, etc configure to the key that shows up?

Have a look at the 2nd post in that thread. You can program the keys yourself. but it takes patience and you will have to do every single key again...

EDIT:

AFTER READING THAT THREAD it appears that the method only works with older FX's not the Ikey models. So nevermind you need to take it to a dealer. You can probably save lot of money by taking them the key and not buying it from them though...

Looked like someone said it worked for their ikey. Maybe only the turn knob ikeys, but not the push button ones?

If you have the tech package with iKey you cannot do it yourself. Dealer is your only option. Now some dealers will program iKeys you get on eBay, granted they work but some won't and will make you buy a brand new one, so call around first.

Are all the iKeys compatible? can I get one of the G35/37 ones. I assume the trunk button will be useless, but for extra key seems like not a big deal.

i would assume so, i have an ikey from a 370z, it looks identical to mine except that it has the Z logo where the infiniti should be.

Someone find a GTR key and program it...
