Seat Wedgy!

So the freakin Seat wedgy never showed up - I was robbed!!! I paid, emailed 3 weeks later, and again a month ago - never heard a word.

I've dropped two items down the black hole in the last two days. NO MORE!!!

This morning I was the first one up in the house and I decided to make a seat wedgy myself while watching TV. I grabbed a needle and thread, plus some of the vinyl material I once messed around with for a dash cover (which never worked out).

Anyway, I pretty much just made a tube with a cut out on one side for the seatbelt. This will hold it in place when the seat moves. I totally copied the seat wedgy concept. I stuffed the tube with batting material to keep it plump. Now I just need to make another one for the other side. Took about an hour.

WTF, you ordered it in October 2009 and still nothing? Sorry 'bout that. You should contact your credit card and dispute the charge by now. Then maybe skymall or the company will do something about it?

Fortunately, I never drop anything between the seats, but I would sure get those one day.

Hmmmmm. Maybe I make a pattern and post a .pdf and a DIY so anybody can do it? I need to make another one for the other side - can't be ridin asymmetrical.:nerd (2):

Wellllll.... I can't call it solved yet. The whole deal slips down between the seat and the console. When I get in and out of the car, the seat moves enough to allow the wedgy to slip.

I might have to make it really wide or maybe I could just double sided tape it to the console side. The wedgy design continues...

judging by your pic above, i must say that much width is perfect, 3m double sided tape should help solve your problem. once again, it looks good

I actually lost a cell phone in the gap for a few days, looked everywhere, including in the gap twice, didn't find it, bought a new phone, and pretty much immediately found the old one in the gap.:mad.: I wish I had a wedgy!

Got my mom in on this, lol. She visited to see the new baby and I had her bring her sewing machine. She also made me a sammich.

Couple more concepts to check out thickness:

Unfortunately my FX is still at the shop so I can't try them out just yet. I'm going to win this battle.

I dropped my work name tag down there the other day and, wow, it was a pita to get that out. Your custom wedgy looks great though, I'll have to make one myself.

So I was just watching Motorweek on tv and they were talking about the "Drop Stop". Looks really good!

I bet they were pissed when they realized that the name "Seat Wedgy" was already taken...
